Well, I've been wanting an SLR after seeing everyone playing withy their's but I couldn't bring myself to spend that much without knowing how to use it completely manually yet. So I went in the middle with a Canon PowerShot S5 IS. Middle price point to learn on I figured. I have a Canon Powershot too, and it's been a really great camera. Only recently I have been having issues with it. But to be fair, the poor little thing has been through a lot. whenever we go somewhere it sits in my back pocket (can't do that with the SLR), or it gets shoved (and slammed around) in my purse. It's been worth every penny I paid for it a few years ago. Enjoy your camera! Loved the pics!
Dawn, I think yours is a different make then mine- mine is big and bulky like an SLR not a tiny point and shoot. It would never fit in my pocket. I have, well had, an Olympus P&S that maybe I will get fixed just to have...
