(The photograph, not summer.)
Maybe it's because I was born and raised in New England, but towards the end of every season I get restless. I get tired of the current season and start to plan all of the things I am going to do and celebrate in the next one. The end of summer is especially tiresome for me because Autumn is my favorite season. Chalk it up to the fact I am an October baby, or that, with four kids, back-to-school is a pretty exciting event, but it truly is my favorite season. I love the colors- they define me. I love chilly weather. I love football. Drinking tea. Maple syrup. I love the excitement of back-to-school. I love turning back the clock. Picking apples. Trick-or-treating. Giving thanks. The leaves changing color. I could go on and on, but I'm sure you get the point. So that's where I'm at now. Tired of humidity. Tired of swimming. Sand. Sunblock and bug spray. Ready to move on...
how 'bout you?

Ditto!!!
I keep saying the same things to my husband. I'm tired of the heat. The humidity. The swimming. The sticky popsicles. all of it.
Bring on fall!!!
I am a summer baby that LOVES the Jersey Shore, so summer can last forever as far as I am concerned. However, I do LOVE Halloween and Fall is my second favorite season so I know where you are coming from.
Before I get started...love, love, LOVE your header and background. I can tell we'll be great friends. ;)
And as for seasons, I'm with you. I definitely appreciate each change here in our Minnesota whereabouts. As for right now, though, having 4 children 3.5 and under, I'm wondering how being housebound this winter will do for us. (Yea right. I'm sure we'll still go as much as we do now.)
But, if Mother Nature doesn't mind, send the rest of your sun-and-75 our way. I'm not tired of it quite yet.

Someone accesses her online weather site pretty efficiently (Tiff). Thanks for the compliment on my design, I'm actually getting ready for another make over- to winterize the look so to speak- I'm havng the same designer do it though, so I am confident it will be just as cute.
CMB- all my life Winter was my second fave followed by Spring then summer- but then I had kids and summer took the #2 spot- no bundles and layers and packing 5 sets of extra clothes in case they got wet. So now winter is my third- until right after the holidays then I'm ready for Spring- which I have nothing AGAINST- it's just not that exciting to me. Except after 5 long months of dirty slushy snow- then I'll probaly be happy to see Spring. So I'm spoiled- I like my four distinct seasons.
Autumn is my most favorite time of the year. I love when the breeze turns crisp and I can bundle up in sweaters. You can smell Halloween and Thanksgiving in the air.
I'm with you! Being a New Englander is the BEST in the fall!
Yep! I'm with you - fall is definitely my favorite. Cool days, football, flannel shirts, you name it.
I am ready, too. :)
