Oooh I like that bowl and the gray/grey in pic 2 is very classy. I hope they take your offer!
Okay, I got out my fan decks to see what I could find for you. (I used to be a color consultant) If I was looking at your home and seeing the wood, I'd go toward a warmer gray so that it wouldn't fight the warm wood tones. Here are a few worth looking at:
Ralph Lauren - Atlantic Winter (TH01), Tudric Pewter (TH02)
Pratt & Lambert - Pebble (2282), Windham (2297), Feather Gray (2302), Olde Silver (2303) and if you want something a bit darker Durango (2284).
I hope you get your house and you get to start making it your own soon!
Thanks!
Gray is hard to pinpoint for me- because of the undertones. The hardwood flooring is oak and the kitchen cabinets are red oak. They kind of glow with a pinkish/red tone...
I will check out these colors you listed!
Just got word, they won't come down any lower than 9,000 less than asking- which is way more than fair market value, so on with our house hunt...
but I'm still loving gray. ;)
I love gray popped with other colors - red, pink, yellow, green...
Sorry that your house hunt has to continue! People do get a bit crazy when they're selling their house.
Gina, I am shocked that in today's housing market that someone did not accept an offer.
I know, right?! They had listed it origanlly for 40,000 more than what it is listed for now- over 500 days ago. Repriced it and it is still priced 39,000 more than the median price comp. houses are going for in the area. To want to be at the top end when you don't have granite counter tops, a landscaped yard(no steps up the slope up to the front door- just grass!), and a tiny deck (we were going to extend it!) is kind of crazy. And greedy. They owe 60,ooo less than what we offered- and we were willing to come up 10. But they didn't even want to consider it. ?!? Oh well, I am trying to maintain trust that God has a plan for our family and we will be in the house we should be when all of this is said and done. I am pretty exhausted though...
Oh, I LOVE that grey felted bowl!
