First off, photo evidence- for those of you who thought it was an April's Fool Day prank when I said I eat Doritos with a spoon. See? No joke.
Yesterday,
I started reading
HANDLE WITH CARE
by Jodi Picoult.
Can you say bawling ?!??
Emotionally, not an easy read-
but I can't put it down!
This morning,
we tried our hand at custom designed pancakes...
Lots of fun!
Then, I wrote up a quarterly homeschool report to mail off to the powers-that-be, to most likely just stuff in their "official" homeschool files, over at our school district's main office. Wow! We've done a lot these past few months...
What did you do this weekend?
and are you planning on reading HANDLE WITH CARE ?

I saw Handle with Care the other day and didn't pick it up...but it sounds like I need to go back and get it:)
And I love your pancakes! Especially the star! Looks like you had a good breakfast!!
Yes! You MUST read it!!
and thanks. :) It was fun... and tasty. Even the older girls had fun- though they wouldn't let me take their pictures because they were in their jammies. With bed head.
I love the pancakes! Great job.
About my blog - you know you dye eggs for easter. These eggs are having a "die-ing" contest... as in see who can die the best.
I eat them like that, too. I hate the orange dust on my fingers. I'm weird. ;)
love your pancakes is that Sponge Bob and Patrick, my kids would love those.
It always amazes me each year when I write our review how much we do, and I think we haven;t done anything. Its a nice keepsake for me to have I keep a copy each year in our files.
What's that book about?
I really did think it was a joke...thanks for the photo! :-)
We went to the farmer's market and fished at the end of the street. Rode around town on our scooter and enjoyed a little seafood chowder while watching the sun set over the harbor. I wish I could just repeat that next weekend!

Elexis- it's a fictional story about a family with a disabled (OI) daughter and a wrongful birth lawsuit. If you like Jodi Picoult's writing- you will love this book- it's one of her best. Beware though- her books often put me through an emotional wringin- John often asks me how I can read books that have me sobbing out loud for hours. :)
And Kim- your life sounds like a mini- vacation. I really need to get serious about planning to move South (right now it's on our distant future list).
I eat my Doritos with a spoon, too, but I have to crumble them up first. I've never seen them that small before!
oooh now I can't wait. I like my books to match on the shelf so I wait for paperback Picoult books. As soon as the new one came out I finally got around to reading Change of Heart and 19 minutes. I just love her gut wrenching and juicy stories--I can't put them down!
When you say "one of her best" do you mean better than or almost as good as "My Sister's Keeper"--this one made me cry for an eternity!
