Somehow I was able to give up Diet Coke years ago when I got pregnant with Ben. I swore I wouldn't have any caffeine while pregnant or nursing. So far I've managed to keep that promise.

Give up chocolate? Do those words ever go together??? LOL You can celebrate my birthday in March, but it's not til the 31st. Oh, wait! My ex-husband's late grandfather's birthday was on the 1st of March. Can that count for you? ;)

If I can do it, you can do it! My last Diet Coke was December 28... so far almost 2 months!

Haven't attempted to give up dark chocolate, though! :)

Oh man, that was funny, Gina.
I decided to give up desserts for Lent, meaning ALL desserts (cookies, candy, chocolate, cake, etc). It has been harder than I thought it would be. Yesterday was the first day since last Wednesday I haven't had an overwhelming urge/craving to eat cookies. So, there's hope for me yet. Of course, it doesn't help that there are 4 boxes of Girl Scout cookies sitting on my kitchen counter. Dang those Girl Scouts! Why does Lent have to fall during Girl Scout season??? They should really plan these things better. :-)

Girl, you're insane.

I've actually managed to lose 10 pounds in the last month by calorie counting. I don't cut any food out of my diet, I just find out what portions of them I can eat to stay in my calorie range (1400 to 1800 calories a day is my usual goal). I eat about 2 cookies a day, and make a few Starbucks runs a week, no problem. (just ask for light moccha no whipped cream... it's about 200 calories difference!)

Hey, just found your blog. . .it is great!!!

I am currently into week 2 of NO diet soda. ugh! I'm not gonna lie. . .it is NOT super fun. Incidentally, I am also doing an experiment in lactose tolerance, so I am also into week 2 of NO ice cream. . .that is even LESS super fun.
