Garden shop sale = perfect practice opportunity!

Constructive criticism welcome- in fact, WANTED!!

What can I do different? Better?

I had the camera on VIVID as a color option,

part of the time,

which I think blurred some of the details...

What do you think?

Beautiful photos! I'm a point & shoot gal so no suggestions. You found some wonderful models though. :)

I think the 1st 3 are fabulous and the last is only not as great b/ you can see a lot of the background behind the thin blue flowers. With the background being gray and too close a color to blue, the blue doesn't stand out enough. But, there's nothing you could do about that I guess. Just look at what's also behind a subject you want to shoot, not the subject only.

Yeah, I'm not one to give constructive criticism because these are way better than what I could shoot! My favorite is the pic of the yellow and orange flowers. I love how the background is blurred a bit...
Thanks for sharing! :)

I don't know! They all look great to me, but then again I'm no photographer.

elexis- I hadn't thought of the colors thing in that shot, but I knew they weren't standing out. That makes sense.

And pjmomof3boys- my fave was the orange one too. I entered it in the flickr group- orangey goodness.

I am sooo an amateur so I wouldn't have anything to share to improve upon. Actually, I'm learning from you! Beautiful pix.

I love the marigold shot, with the blurred background. Gives a sense of depth, without distracting details in the background, just green loveliness. And the rest of the shots... simply marvelous... a girl after my own heart... ah, flower shots. Makes my heart sing.
