perfect pancakes

It was not without a little blood, sweat, and tears
that I managed to create these heart shaped pancakes
for the girlies last week...

I was so proud and the girls loved them.

Then I saw these pancakes at
planted by streams...

And was crushed.

But I kept reading.

And she shared the secret to making any shape pancake your heart desires! She's an angel. I can't wait to get one of those

and start creating.

The possibilities are endless...

what shapes would you make?

That is genius! I think I'll have to do a pirate themed breakfast for my nephews.

Those are cute! My husband is the one that gets up to make pancakes with the kids on Sunday. I'll have to pass that idea along.

Your pancakes are shameful, man! Simply shameful. How could you even dare to show them to us, compared to those masterpieces of pancake love? :)

(you know I'm kidding, don't you? Heck - my kids are lucky to get pancakes at all, much less heart shaped ones!)

How fun! I would love a palm tree pancake. I don't think that's possible. :-)

I'd like to use it to make pancakes that look like amoebas! Oh, wait. My normal ones already look like that...

I told the kids that I was making "impressionist" pancakes for them on Valentine's Day.

I am off to check out the link. It would be fun to make such lovely pancakes!

I love your heart pancake. I made heart crepes and the kids complained that they don't roll as well as round ones and the honey leaks out the top. Oh well!

Looks better than mine would.

I would make them bacon-shaped, and use bacon instead of pancake batter.
