Spending the evening relaxing (blog hopping), because we are d.o.n.e. with the all of the painting we are going to do before we move in- I came across this fun blog carnival:
and since I'm still in the honeymoon phase of my love affair with my new color scheme, I just had to post too! Since we just finished painting about 5 hours ago- I don't have any pictures of the actual rooms though, so I'm using "chips". I love all of the colors we chose, but my favorite colors have to be the main living space:
Pratt & Lambert Pearl White- which I fell in love with after seeing this gorgeous living room on Flickr. I love how while you are sitting in one space (let's say the kitchen), another space (how 'bout... the living room) looks like it is a slightly different color on the wall- it helps define a pretty open living space without chopping up the flow. It's also a warm gray, which is important to me, as I tend to surround myself in reds and oranges.

My favorite room/color combo is the upstairs bath, where I painted the bottom half's beadboard (Is beadboard really two words? That's what spellcheck is telling me, but I'm leaving it as one...) wainscoting and the vanity and mirror, white , and the walls Pratt & Lambert's Briny Deep. In the paint store it looked more blue than green, which we liked, but on the walls looked more green. And when I pulled this chip up online:
it does look more green. Maybe we should have gone with Delft Blue. I still love the overall effect. I can't wait to wake up and get ready for the day in that room... and I can't to post the before and afters for that project!
What's your favorite paint color?

We painted our kitchen SW's Show Stopper Red. At least that's why I think it's called. I love it. I also love Promenade by Behr, which is a sagey color. I love the gray.
Those are gorgeous colors! I love that living room too! I love Behr's Navajo White...it's a warm white! I liked it so much, I painted my entire house with it. I can't wait to see pics!
Thanks for stopping by and for the sweet comment! And I'm glad someone is with me on not just "filling the space". :)
I love the Pearl White! And that inspiration picture is beautiful....great choice!
How exciting to move into a new place! You're so smart to paint beforehand. I never had that choice. Oh, and I used to live in Northborough! For 5 years. Love, love, love MA. Thanks for stopping by for a visit.
Oh I do love that Russian Blue color on the paint chip. I could see my bathroom painted in that color.
I can't wait to see the beadboard with the Briney Deep above it in your bathroom!
love that online chip! It does help you see if the color is warm or cool with the way they have it set up. i fear as i get older, my color abilities are dwindling and that chip is helpful!
have a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for visiting my blog. I love the pearl white. Congrats on finishing your painting!
We still haven't painted our kitchen... it's been about a year... cause I can't decide on a color. So, I am starting to hate myself for being so picky that I've actually lived with bare sheet rock white for so long. I wish they had a color named "done." That'd be my favorite. :)
Oh, pretty! Be sure to post the rooms when you have them all decked out! :)

I too like moody and chameleon-like paint colors that seem to keep changing all the time :)
